Brief → Research → Brief

Getting ready for a pitch?
Stretched for time?
Small team or working as a freelancer?
Finishing up another project but need to get going the next?
Feeling uninspired?

Commission a Brief → Research → Brief: an efficient injection of inspiration and insight to help shape your next steps in creative projects, and bolster what you might have already put together.
Normal Brief → Research takes place across just a few days; we have a quick turn around and aim to slot into your normal design flow

Our Approach

Working with designs studios, creative agencies and institutions, we bring together our expertise in visual strategy and art direction to implement a flexible and agile methodology that delivers inspirational research.

Brief → Research → Brief is aimed to be a catalyst for the next stage of your project, and normally sits at the beginning of your workflow. We do work iteratively though, and in the past have revisited briefs at different stages of projects after you’ve received client feedback or have developed your idea further.

We’re a team of collaborators lead by Liv Taylor, with previous clients such as M&S, COS, PATTERNITY, Imperial War Museums, RCA and WGSN.

How it works

Get in touch and fill in our Brief → Brief: a short form that brings out the key objectives, keywords and themes for the research. Talk it through with us over the phone or in person

We’ll immerse ourselves in Re → Search gathering everything that connects to your brief, and more!

We’ll share our findings with you in a concise Re → Brief: a short phone call or meeting to guide you through a takeaway document that brings together everything that will inspire and inform as you take the next steps in your project.

What we can bring together

• Visual mood boards of key photography, design, pattern and material reference

• Case studies and round ups of ‘whats already out there’

• Quotes and stats, news and social commentary

• Cultural research – both cutting edge and historical

• Further resources, reading and activities to help you go deeper
